Chronograph

Hello,

Where is the best place to buy a chronograph and do you get a printer and everything you need ? What are some " brand " names to look for ? I don't want to put a lot of money into one. Thanks...

I have the F1 chrony Master from DNR, 'cause I wanted to get the gun muzzle a few feet away from the chrony and not have to walk around my tableeach time

My F-1 crony works just great, and after I installed a contact switch it reads out all the numbers like the master, high, low, average, extreme deviations, average spread, and each shot.

I think I paid only 50 bucks for it.

Did you make your contact switch? If so, how? TIA

Find an old pair of walkman or someting simular ya know stero headphones.
Cut off the phones all you want is the pulg and the wires, strip back the wires.

After you have a few shots on the crony touch two wires together fast and watch the display and see which pair of wires changes the display.

Get a radio shack momentary contact button switch and and solder the wires to it and you got a master crony.
Here's what mine looks like, I hot glued the switch in a old marker case.

Thankyou very much! I actually have a Master F-1, but they don't come with the remote or printer and I'm to cheap to buy one. Thanks again for your instruction.

Question,

Does the sun or shade have an effect on a chronograph ?

Yup, the sunshades are used on a clear, sunny day. And not used when conditions are overcast/cloudy.

You also want to watch out for the angle of the sun, and watch where you throw shadows.  My Beta has given me errors because I threw a shadow while changeing strings.  I've also had flies cause errors, crossing one sensor but not the other.
