Discovery as first pcp
« on: July 25, 2008, 06:38:24 AM »
Hi
I have seen and read alot about the discovery.
Where i live i cannot fill it up from a bottle so the pump looks ok.
But how long does it take to fill to 2000 lbs and i read it took 110 pumps to do this is this correct?
Once filled hw long does it last how many shots?
I already have springers .
One of these is a Gamo CFX ,How does the noise of firing the gun compare between the two?
Any help or advice please thanks

Yup,,, about 110 pumps to get it fully charged..  but not that bad to do...

Stock, I was getting around 30 good shots......

Also very loud in stock form.

I returned mine due some problems with accuracy I was having,,,, but I will order another one of these days.  Nice light, powerful hunting weapon, and considering that you get the rifle and the pump the price makes it a great first pcp.....

I really like mine . The pumping effort is low and very due able. The noise level is fairly load . It is loader than most springers but under a .22 rim fire Marvin

I'm thinkin about gettin one too. But I am concerned about the noise. My loudest springers are the Diana 350M and Walther Falcon. Is the Disco louder than those?

Have not been around the rifles you mentioned. The Discovery has a bark to it . From what I have been told by people at the range were I shoot is it sounds like a weak .22 short target load  to them. This is a un shrouded PCP . A back yard shooter in a quaint neighborhood with grumpy neighbors it is not . Marvin
