CDT trigger adjustment

I don't like the feel of the trigger, how do I lighten the pull, is it the screw or the Allen screw

Hey Craig.... you cannot lighten the pull on the GRT. It is fixed by the sear spring and the capture points of the piston. And even though it will have a pull weight of under two pounds, because of the Chinese manufactured trigger and it's heavier sear spring and rough surfaces on the contact faces, it will be just a bit heavier than it would be on the Gamo's and some of the other clones. Over time though, as the rough parts of the trigger wear in, it will improve even more.

I played with both screws for about 100 shots then loctited them in place. I dont think physically lightening the pull is possible, at least not in the way it sounds like you mean.  But if you polish/lube all the contact points in the trigger group it helps a bunch, and the trigger pack/assy isn't that complicated to dis/ass if you take your time.

One thing that is definitely not recommended and im not recommending it...A person could file the contact surfaces in the trigger group to an angle other than 90 degrees Ive Heard ;) it can lighten trigger pull a bit...Not going to go into detail as Ill probably get reamed by the Uber-tuners here. But if you order a spare trigger assy to play with you can learn a lot.  Ive shot some hair triggers before (less than 1lb pull) and it seems i always end up throwing more shots, i do better with a 1-2lb pull, just my personal exp..

Hey Craig, you know you might just keep shootin' and really get to know your trigger before you go tinkering with it.That GRT111 trigger has what should be a small amount of take up before it breaks. When the take up has finished its travel(1st stage)the next breath of pressure will discharge the gun.If you pay real close attention and train your finger to feel when the first stage has reached the end of it's travel you can know for sure you are at the break point of the release. This will surely help you shoot more accuratly.This works and feels somewhat like double set triggers except you do the take up and clean break with a single trigger. I would like nothing more for you to get great results with what a lot of us believe is the best trigger up grade you can make in your gun. Put a decent AG rated scope and good mounts on her, find a pellet that shoots well and shoot it 'till you master it.I predict it won't be long before you'll be posting here testifying what a smart trigger you have.Good luck Air Gun Bro.
