6mm works!!!
« on: July 29, 2008, 02:12:16 PM »
Today after work I retapped the middle bolt hole in my new Diana compensation mount and used a 6 mil allen head bolt in it. It worked and I got a satisfactory torque on it!!! Next step is to cut the end of the locking (dove-tail) plate and flip it upside down for the 11mm side to work,..like it's advertised to!!!!! Ms. Diana's really starting to smooth out some. I'd estimate she's got about 650 rounds through her now. J thank for your input. I decided to lube the detent ball and spring with a "tad' of lith green marine grease, and I think that did the trick!!! We'll let Bob lube the pivot and the rest this coming weekend. Might go ahead and retap the other two bolts for a custom 'asthetically pleasing' look to the mount. Happy Shooting Folks, tjk

Always cool when the solution isn't so complicated. You'd figure the factory could holdbetter tolerances though . . .
