Welcome aboard, Harley...
« on: October 14, 2006, 02:57:33 PM »
Hey, guys, Harley ended up burying a question about .177 CFX accuracy in Charlie's old post about the GRT III triggers.  I think he was curious about long range accuracy.  My CFX is feeling a little neglected right now, but I was getting sub 1/2" groups at 30 yards, 1/4" at 20, and 3/4 to 1" at 40 yards.  My best pellet was the JSB Exact with a 4.52 mm head diameter.  Notice I said was, lately it's showing a real preference for RWS Superdomes.  But I've been having seal and scope problems, so everything is kind of up in the air at the moment.  Hope to have some time tomorrow, now that the seal issue has been addressed, to shoot for both accuracy and velocity.  Depends on weather. Hope this helps, Harley, I'm sure more CFX owners will add to this.

Dave

If I may add, now that I know there are two different barrels, then I do not need to buy oversize pellets for my CFX's. The RWS Superdomes fit snug and with the CFX and those, they probably shoot better togetther than I can...:)
