New Toy!!
« on: August 21, 2008, 05:18:52 AM »
Hello everyone.
I just spent the last 2 hours hammering some paper targets and cans out in the yard. For those of you that didn't know; I got Bhawanna's RWS 350 chopper, with the extra .177 barrel. CDT did the tune, I'm told; and the gun is unbelieveable. I just told Roger that the trigger actually startled me the first time I shot it. After I settled down a bit--wow. The action and trigger are so smooth, I don't know if I'll want to shoot any of my other guns for a while. The rifle is definitely more accurate than I am. You guys did a great job with this gun!
Another thing; If you don't know Bhawanna--He's a great guy. -very easy to deal with and a true gentleman to boot. He even met me halfway so I woudn't have to make the whole trip--not to mention giving a helping hand when my jeep decided not to start for the trip back.
I'm really glad that I found this forum. Thanks.

Mike, I just got my 350 Mag back from Bob(CDT) and it's fabulous!  The trigger's great, the recoil was significantly improved and the power is right where I want it.  Some prefer the tune with the original spring(more power than the Maccari) but I think I like the Maccari better!  The 350 in my mind is the hunter to reach for when in need.

Thanks again, Bob!

I know what you mean. This is my first pro tuned gun. The difference between the 350 and my stock 34 is really unbelievable. The only problem is knowing who to send the 34 to now.

mike,
thanx for the kind words.....man you need to get your jeep fixed!!!!  anyhow hope you enjoy the mag and you MUST post pics of your first kill with it.  my records show 9-coons, 3-possums, 17-treerats, 2-muskrats, and countless cooters.  it is a natural born killer and will serve you well.  also, it may be a collector's item in that it was tuned by the "the great cdt" before he retired.  i noticed somewhere that cdt tuned guns were going up in value!!....sorta like the english made webleys.  have fun and enjoy.

It will probably take a while to match that record, but I'll get to it. I'm gonna have to order a new scope and one of those new leaper rail adapters. It desrves better than the one I threw on today.
Thanks again!
Oh, and; I do feel very priviliged to own a gun tuned by Mr Tuna. It's a keeper!

I'm probably not the one to answer this question. I'm still very inexperienced. What I know of is: more power( I assume from a larger powerplant), nicer checkered stock, rubber recoil pad, same trigger as my 34, and the blueing looks really close. -same stupid scope rail, though. This one has a chopped barrel and umarex barrel weight, in addition to the CDT tune, macari spring...
I couldn't compare to a tuned 34 though. -not yet anyway

Hey Roger...   I knew that Bob was retiring- that's why I had him sign the stock!  It's an official relic of the Bob Werner genre'!
