Another New guy considering PCP

Am looking at the idea of moving in 22 cal to one of these air charged rifles. In looking at some sales sites it gets confusing. Don't want a star wars looking thing, more traditional is more like it.

In checking I see Evanix and ShinSung that both have really good power in 22. Maybe there are a few more I should consider though I do want to keep the cost at around $600, a bit under or close to it. Would probably use a hand pump depending on what I find out. Am nowhere near any shops to go and look at these things so all info so far and in forseeable future is internet.

What problems will I have if filling the rifle by hand pump or by compressor/air tank during winter season? Winters here hit 20-40 below zero(farenheit) normally though colder happens at times. Does it make sense to have one of these when I might have to top off or fill air outsiide in these temps? Any problems associated with them when the temps drop like this. Summers aren't bad, usually 80's and at times 90's. If it hits 100 it is usually record breaking stuff, not too often. It is humid also, not dry desert air.

The models I am looking at have magazine loading. This appeals to me and getting a few extra to keep loaded and change out sounds nice.

What am I really looking at in actual use if I go this route rather than another spring powered rifle?

Mahonri the N.D. weather should not be a problem . When pumping or tank filling you are heating the air . The magazine rifles from what I here need to be adjusted to the pellet type you are using so if you change pellet types often then its a problem . At least that is what I have been told about the Careers . I have a 201 S in 9 mm and like it .But the triggers are a little heavy if you are not use it a heavy pull. If you get away from the multi shoot you might look at the Discovery . Hand pumping the Discovery is easy . It only requires 1800 -1900 PSI . Above that to 2500 Psi it gets harder . But it depends on how much you are going to shoot it at one setting. Marvin

Get a moisture filter for your pump if it doesn't have one already. I'm going to install an inline moisture filter from PA on my Axsor pump. It's exercise pumping one up. I have a BAM B50 and a Sam Yang Bib Bore 909. They both take up to 3,000 psi.  It's nowhere near as bad as some folks say it is.
