TF (QB) 78 rifle report now have had it 5 weeks
« on: August 27, 2008, 12:03:26 PM »
I've had my TF 78 about 5 weeks now all I've done is to put a muzzle brake on it as well as adjust the trigger and reworked the stock and choked the barrel.  It has a 2x7 x32 BSA sweet 17 AO scope  on it . And I still can't get over how accurate it is it shoots super better than me most of the time when I can hold it still enough  it will put one pellet on top of the other and it is very very quiet it is a 177 cal. and I wounder if the 22 cal is as good. It's going to be one of my keepers. As far as doing mod's. I'm not sure if I want to go into it and possibly lose what I have now I don't use the rifle for hunting just paper and if it is in the 600 to 700 fps range that  is fine, I get about 80 shots with 2  -  co2 caps. Are all the QB 78 type rifles this good. howie

Howie, I have a QB78D (.177) and a QB79 (.22) and I really enjoy them. Both shoot well but the QB79 it the real tack driver.

BTW, you did a supper job on refinishing the stock on you rifle. Too bad (for me) you decided to keep it because I would scoop her up in a heart beat.
