Rain Nutter
« on: August 28, 2008, 02:01:47 AM »
Had a day off from work so decided, well you know I just gotta hunt.:) The morning was overcast and rain was expected later in the day so I had to make a decision on what baby wanted to hunt. I really wanted to take Mike's aka (SPLASH) SWEET B3 out for one more hunt but didn't want to get her wet so I grabbed the dead on B26 Sporter and Predator's and headed out. I arrived at my buddies property and didn't waste any time as I headed for cover. upon finding myself a nice hide beneath a canopy of tree's I settled in but I was already being eyeballed from the tree's. Sitting up on a limb sat a BIG! ol squirrel just watching me and twitching his tail, figure about 25yard's I set my scope and placed crosshair's on his head and waited for a side profile. He turned on command hehehe and I sent the Predator away and once again found it's mark. He struggled with a cliffhanger move but the switch was shut down and he gave up the ghost dropping to ground. The rain started to fall lightly so I counted out some yard's to his resting spot, 26 and he fell about 30 from his limb. Inspected the shot placement, that work's:) and grabbed a quick pic for you addicted hunter's here. :):) I scooted back to my rig before the heavy rain and headed out. He's now chilling next his kin in the icebox waiting for dinner. Ed

Another fine hunt and pic Ed. I've been working on a few pecan farmers, in the area, so I will have a few hunts, as soon as I get the ok.

Curious which B26 you are using for these nutters.  I just got the .22.Seems you're another Predator adherent!  Gotta get me some of those!

Thomas the nutter's, 2 of em will be on the BBQ and slowly cooked.:) Thank's Chris and Neil and both of my B26's, the -2 and Sporter are .177 but the addiction tell's me that I will need one in .22. The Predator's are my #1 hunting pellet and all my babies push em with pleasure. Ed

Thank's Tommy, I alway's want my fellow GTA  hunter's and member's who don't have natures resources to share in my hunt's. If I can capture it in a few word's and the beauty of a successful hunt then I'm doing my part I hope.:) Ed
