not sure where to post this, got a good deal on pellets
« on: December 02, 2008, 07:48:32 AM »
(if this needs to be moved or deleted I'm fine with that, I just normally post in this section)

We ordered some JSB pellets :

from DAK Sports inc.  http://www.airgunsonly.com/frames.html  (click on "online catalog") good email communication, after we placed our order it said "US customers must call and confirm" which I did and got an answering machine, left our order # and email addy and recieved an email the next day saying we were good to go. We ordered on -11-10-08 and recieved them 11-27-08 packaged well with no dmage to tins or pellets.
So maybe find a friend or two and stock up at about $8.00 per tin delivered, H&N pellets are even cheaper if you happen to use those.

Holy-Smokes!!! That's the 'mother load' right there.  Checked out that sight before, but your  pix really speaks "VOLUMES". Nice price too!
I've thought of trying out the Straton pellets, although I'm not a big fan of pointers. Has anyone tried these pellets before? What's your take on them?!?!?!? tjk

Am I seeing that picture correctly? Is there 9 tins per sleeve of pellets? So if you got 5 sleeves of 9 tins of 500 pellets each, you got 22500 pellets. Their website lists case lots at 25000 pellets, which would be 5 sleeves of 10 tins of 500 each. Am I missing something here?
Regards
Nathan

Ordered a sleeve today...
« Reply #6 on: December 04, 2008, 12:55:32 PM »

Thanks spysir...I ordered a sleeve today. JSB .20 cal with 8 tins to the sleeve. Total with expected delivery to Florida 12/15/08 for $96.08 ($120.55 Canadian). I emailed Derek last night and he phoned me today to complete the order. He was great to talk to and was able to answer all my questions. All should go smooth unless it gets held up at customs

David

...edit for price change...

That's the only JSB pellet (Stratton) my HW77 shoots good with! Loves H&N pellets so I ordered a sleeve, a Christmas present to myself!
Research, use the right tools, take your time, and do it right the first time!

Cool! I wish the company would email me back. I sent them a message to see how many tins of H&N pellets were included in each sleeve/order. The website is vague at best.

That's strange Bill...I emailed them and the next day the guy called me and we completed the order over the phone. Did you email your telephone number?

Yes, I included my phone. I wasn't trying to make an order, I was just trying to determine how many pellets were in the order to figure out if it was a good deal or not.

Is anyone considering going in on a group purchase?
« Reply #12 on: December 10, 2008, 03:53:13 PM »
I figured I'd see if anyone wants to go in on a group purchase so that any one of us wouldn't have to lay out a bunch of money at once.

OK, Derek finally got back to me. The H&N FT Trophys are 6 per sleeve and the Baracuda Match are 8/sleeve. So the deal is not nearly as good on the H&N pellets. Unfortunately, he is mostly out of .22 size JSB Exacts right now. Even when he does get them back in stock, his normal prices on the .22 are not much better than Pyramyd if you get 4 tins for the price of 3. In a case lot, they might be better though, but he doesn't have much listed right now to compare.
