I hit the order button
« on: January 18, 2009, 08:44:01 AM »
I have renewed a very old friendship and as I talked about my interest in air rifles my friend became interested and asked my advice on what to get.  Actually, what he said was, "What should I get and if you get one I will too."  Well, something to that effect and over several conversations.
What I had told him was that from what I could tell, the B-26 seems unusually popular especially the MM lube tuned B-26's.  Based on what I've read it is a safe purchase.  It looks to me like the CZ452  is to rimfires.  CZ rimfires are the best bang for the buck in sporting rimfire bolt action rifles.  I can shoot surprisingly similar scores with my CZ Trainer that I shoot with my Anschutz 1907 and the Annie was 9 X's the cost of the CZ.
I hit the order button for two 26's.  Do I need to order a scope stop, or just rings with a stop pin?    I'm looking forward to having a better springer.
Daisy 853 with apertures; FWB 300S with apertures; Mike Melick tuned B-26 and B-40.

Good choice for you and your friend...I'm sure you gonna love the MM B26. A stop is not needed, just get an Accushot one piece mount and the scope will stay where you put it. Enjoy and post a pic of the twins when you get 'em.

Yep....read alot of good things on the MM tuned B26's.  Should be good shooters in the mid-power level.  Congrats on your twin purchases.

You will love your twin shooters, Especially after one of Mikes tunes. I have two B 26, one is a B 26-2 .22cal and the other is a Mike Melick tuned B 26 .177cal. They are the smoothest shooters I have. All you need is a Accushot one piece mount and you will be be in heaven........Bill

LOVE IT ......She is a keeper for me. Accurate, smooth shooter, solid thunkkk, easy trigger, no surprises. Only one drawback .....weight. Heavy to lug around, Just have to get use to the weight. Overall she is one sweet shooter......Bill
