Air Arms S410 FAC Walnut ... Really arrived this time ;-)...
« on: February 09, 2009, 07:32:27 AM »
Well I was not here to greet my new arrival, but it was received the day I left to Vegas last Thursday.  I just got home and unpacked everything from Pyramid.  This is my first PCP and so far, it looks great!  The walnut is really nice...  The Fit and finish seems to be everything it was hyped up to be.  It did have 150 bar when I opened it so I did shoot it a few times just to feel the trigger and test the different power levels just to note sound.  The Trigger is really nice and the sound levels are much better than I expected.  Pretty darn quiet even at full power.   The only negative I can see is the OEM Magazine.  The magazines are sort of ginky, So I'm happy I ordered those after market ones from airgunclips.  Those are VERY well made.

I'm still waiting on the arrival of my scope I ordered from Gander Mountain.  I had them order me a Bushnell Elite 4200 in 6-24x40.  I was able to use a gift card I won to cover most of it, that is the reason I decided to go for the best one I could afford with the balance on the card.

Here are some pics just unpacked, I will come back with more photos and details as soon as I get the scope and everything mounted...

For sure the details around here and other sites, were for sure influence for my decision.  Along with the added nice Walnut option.  The photos dont really show how nice it really is much nicer when you actually put your hands on it.  Looking forward to adding the Bushnell 4200 to it and getting some trigger time!!

Bushnell 4200 Elite arrived today.  I quickly installed and setup my target to site it in before going to the movies.

The 3 shots low left were all sighting in.  The Next group on the left large group was the next 7 shots trying to find a good aiming point.  Turns out I'm out of adjustments.  I need to look at it again to see what I messed up with or if I need to get different rings.

The top left group was me trying to see which mildot I could aim with.  Last group on the lower left with the .22 pellet sitting next to it was my last 5 shot group.  All of these shots were taken with around 100 bar left.  Currently the gun is around 80-90 bar.  I dont have my charging system "borrowed" yet.  Going to pick it up tomorrow.

Here is a pic of the groupings and the gun with the scope installed...

Groups shot approx 22 yards.  All groups were shot with Crosman Premiers.  unsorted. Just filled mags and shot

Good shooting at 22 yards Johnny.  With that new scope and a good fill your going to be able to reach out and touch "a nutter".  Congrad.           Paul

Just a thought, are you sure you`ve screwed the adapter(?) tightly to the pump hose?  Use some teflon tape on the threads (Make sure you leave 2 threads uncovered so there`s no chance of the tape ripping and having a small piece blown into the gun).

I used the teflon tape on both ends of the pump hose.  Awhile ago I had the same problem as you....as I was filling my air rifle....I would hear a small hissing sound....air was leaking from the pump end of the hose.  After I tightened it abit harder, everything is fine now.

Ok I will recheck that connection between the foster and the end cup.  But the leak seems to be coming directly out of the top of the cap fitting through there the T piece on the end of the gun.  But I will recheck connection. I didnt tighten it super tight, but tight.  I also have some o-rings coming in case I some how nicked one of the o rings.

I love everything about the gun so far... Except this cap fill adptr.    ;)

I think I had that same problem on my used 410 FAC.  I don't think the O ring fits tight enough on mine.  I put some lube on it and that seemed to be enough to make a decent seal.  But I haven't used the gun much so don't know how permanent a fix that is, probably better if I had better fitting O rings--especially the one closest to the T post.  Kinda wish it was warmer here on the northeast so I can do some shooting.
