This is wrong in SO many ways. I came here from the yellow because this was the OPEN forum, where we were all treated like reasonable intelligent adults, not like over at the yellow were there is censorship due to an inflated (or deflated) ego. Now it is here too. How childish. He did it, so I can do it too I've seen 4 year olds make more mature choices. Charlie, I was proud of your ability to stay neutral to post all sides, even when it did not always portray you in the best light. That attitude alone brought about a level of trust far beyond anything else you could have done. Now you go and follow in his footsteps.

Why don’t one or both of you get a patent attorney to come up with a finding on this once and for all? Get or loose bragging rights, but do it all while keeping an OPEN forum.

Also Charlie, does not the line on this forum which shows the number of users mean anything? Look here, look at the forum, why do you think so many jumped ship from there to come here? They rarely have more than 5-6 registered users on at any one time.

This was an enjoyable hobby before I found anything on the Internet, and I sure don’t need forums to continue my enjoyment. In fact, if this is indeed the true policy into the future, my time here, however brief and enjoyable, we be ended as I elected to do with the yellow. I’m sure it is no sweat off anyone’s back here.
I came into this world with nothing, and I still have most of it left!

The majority of the people on the forums , be it the GTA , the yellow , green or whatever, are good people , who are only there to read about and enjoy the hobby we love so much . Most like me could give a rats about the feud that seems to continue . that's their problem , not mine .Do I notice ? I can't help but to. I choose to not take sides and to try and ignore it , like I do a lot of other things that don't interest me . All the forums have rules , You just abide by them or move on, if you let it bother you. I for one just try and get along with everybody, try not to step on any toes , and post by the rules, it seems to work for me so far . Now lets go shoot some pellets . kirby

I've browsed several other forums, including the Yellow, but I always come back here regularly simply because this is the best forum IMO, it is easy to navigate, very well organized, easy to find info and friendly people.  The best service will survive and thrive.

I support the founders of this forum in their decision.  I think it similar to weeding a garden - gotta thin out the undesirables.  (goes for squirrels too,, hee hee,,,oh and most recently  'crows';  I get tired of hearing the noisy barking of squirrels and crows as well as their bullish natures)

Bob,  I've not been in GTA forum that long but what I do know is thats its a great place to be,  many thanks to you and to all that help to run the GTA, especially Gene.  I have 2 GTR- III trigger's  and  always tell everyone how perfect and wonderful they are, ( I feel it is my right to say so!, the same way I like chevy's over a..well the other choices:) ) its a pleasure to do bussiness with you, I may just buy a trigger to mount on the wall of my office :)
I dont normally post or care about such things as "who shot john" but I decided to google and read up on this trigger issue, so I could at least be informed...curiousity just got to me! Firstly this trigger fight does not effect me directly and like most of us we have no "dog" in this one! This whole thing just stinks for you, unfortunately some things just arent meant to work out, I can understand your frustration.. nuff said:) Hopefully everything will settle down soon. Regards, Tony.

Don't know if this is the right thing to do, but I'm damn sure it's the fair thing to do.  No argument from me on this policy, I'm one of the many that have been banned from the Yellow over the years for mentioning the unmentionables of Bob, the GTA, or the GRT III.

Regarding being robots, why is it okay for the rank and file on the YF to support the Steve's without question, but the same thing here makes us mindless automatons?  Talk about not getting it...

So Gene/Bob, does this mean the mods are to delete posts on this subject automatically, or does it go through you two?  Thanks.

Dave

Thanks Dave but I think that it should be left to Gene and myself to delete the posts. If they do come up though, perhaps we might be alerted. That way, if any heat comes up, let it be Gene and I that takes the heat and puts the fires out. We sure do appreciate the support though.

I have to agreewith John (70GTvert). Even though I am fairly new here, I soon came to realize that there were some unresolved issues betweenBob and someone named Steve. When I realized what a childish attitude there was at the Yellow Forum regarding these issues, I promised myself to never do business with someone who censored and (in my opinion) slandered others. He will never see a dime of my money if at all possible. His attitude has cost him far more than the loss of Dollars. I have no respect for him, and it is starting to spread to others. And Eye for an Eye and a Trigger for a Trigger, I guess. Whateverhelps you sleep well at night.

Good luck!

BTW, Has Kliff ever made a trigger?

« Reply #25 on: March 16, 2009, 12:42:43 PM »
Gene and Bob,
I see your point on this one, each forum should follow the leadership in place. Just wish all this had never happened. There are lots of nice folks on the Yellow Page that we do not get to visit with because we are locked out if we tell them where our "home forum" is located. Hope they will push Steve to stop that practice. I would hope that our "welcome mat" stays out to those who might visit us from that part of the air gun world.

Bob especially had many roots in the yellow forum before all this happened Robert. He knows as well as I do that there are many good members on the yellow and all other forums. The door is always open for anyone from any forum to come and join us. We even have a link in the GTA Library to the yellow forum. It is there along with many other forum links.  Many GTA members visit other forums and that is good. Not one forum can serve everyone, but many forums can make our air gun community big and more informative about air guns.

I usually visit 3 or 4 different forums...I really don't play favorites, but read them for informational purposes and sometimes for entertainment.  I really don't care what goes on with the trigger debate.  If I want to watch a sopa opera I'll get cable and turn on the tube.  I always try to look at the good side of people and have always felt you can learn something from anyone if you want to.  That's the way I look at airgun forums and the people that contribute to them.

Bob, Gene, count this as one vote.

I don't know that man. I don't do yellow snow or yellow pages, and I don't care about yellow snow or yellow pages...BECAUSE THEY ARE YELLOW...

Your trigger work is great. Poor fools who will censor your work or opinions because they are competition, are poor fools who do not understand the constitution of their great nation.

These are poor fools who should go back to school and learn that the FREE MARKET is the ultimate arbiter of change, advancement, and success, and that censorship, and arrogance are PROOF of a failed product.
