Ah, a good question and the answer tends to define my philosophy for air gunning!  So lets see, well, to begin with, I have the ability to target shoot out past 100yds on my lot, I like shooting and I really like trying to shoot for accuracy at longer ranges, but I still want to stay sub-sonic and low mass (relative to powder weapons) for added range safety; hence an airgun approach.  Add to that that I do not need a permit for an airgun in MD (I do not have a firearm) and I get the fun and challenge of shooting without some of the hassles other than range safety. Range safety is very important for me; I treat all my airguns as firearms when it comes to safety.

Not that I do not like to fire powder weapons, when I get the itch to fire powder weapons, and I do occasionally, I have friends that will oblige as long as I supply the amo - if you have not shot a Barrett 0.50 (civilian version) trying to hit a target at 1,000+ yards, you should try it, its expensive ($10 or so a round), but very satisfying when you can manage to hit the target (a 2ft square target). I just can not shoot at my house, and there are no shooting ranges close by so this is how I get my shooting satisfaction; and it really is satisfaction for me - heck my wife even understands that this is one of my ways to unwind.

... I just can not shoot at my house, ...

Can't because of noise or specific restrictions on firearms?

this is my solution to the noise problem.

Noise, some what,  and also I have a wooded back lot, good for shooting but, not cleared enough to insure a much longer clear safe fire lane.  My nieghbors have guns and do not shoot in the neighborhood either - I figure if they don't, then I will respect that and will not use powder firearms either.

Scott

I received my Evanix Blizzard on Tuesday, today when putting on a scope I sighted in at 25 yds and then went to 50 yds. I was getting 1" groups. I have been shooting CPH's sorry no chrony. I paid the $ 10 for 10 from pyrmid and it was shooting 940 to 865 with 26 gr pellets. I shot 40 CPH's before needing a recharge. I love the magazine and multiple shots. You can send a lot of lead downrange in a hurry.  It seems very accurate. I plan on remove some nervous squirrels and rabbits at 50 to 70 yards. I will hopefully be shooting this weekend at 75 and 100 yds. If I do I'll let you know.

Al:

Wow!

I am cutting a check now to get one from Joe Cuz at Long Island Airguns

Hope to have it in the next couple of weeks.

Did it come with the quidk fill probe?

I need to know if I have to buy one in addition to the male Foster to thread on to it for compatibility with my pump.

Thanks Al, can't wait till you get some data on it.

Hello Leadhead, sorry I have been away, I bought the tank for $100 at PW Paintball in South Street, Plainville, MA, its  a carbon fibre, 110 cu.in. tank, and it cost approx. $4 to refill it.   My gun is coming Tues. between 9 and 7 pm!    Does anybody know how many top offs I will get out of that?   Thank you very much ....21grains

I'd also be curious about the number of fill you can get out of your tank...........seems kinda on the small side.......

Sure does. The figure I've seen for the Marauder's reservoir is about 13 cubic inches (it's 210 cc).  These tanks are so small that Airhog's fill calculator won't give any results for them....I tried it.
