It seems that the nicer the stock on my gun there is an inverse proportion to the amount of time and pleasure I have in carrying it. In other words, I keep the really nice ones put up and very infrequently do anything with them. Now on the other hand, my absolute favorite airgun is the B40 I asked Mike Melick to put together for me. Created in his hands from two defective guns and with a basic banged up stock, I now have the gun that I just naturally gravitate toward. About the only thing that I may do to it is fill in the dings and spray it with bedliner. It is (at least right now) my number one "go to" hunter.
I like to look at pretty guns, but i absolutely love to shoot good ones! And, most good ones have some dings from being used.
Remember, "Chicks dig scars!"
Of course, I don't lay my gun on the rocks either!!!!
