I would agree with Ed, Just run a dry swab through the barrel a couple times and that is all. Remember that you should not clean your barrel very often. If you do, do not use anything stronger than Goo Gone. When you shoot your CFX hundreds of times, you are going to notice FPS increase. Part of the FPS increase is from lead sealing the barrel. If you super clean your barrel then you will loose a bit of FPS and some accuracy.

Some may disagree and some may agree..

I hardly ever have thoroughly cleaned any of my air gun barrels. And see no need to until there is an accuracy problem maybe after a few thousand shots or so..
