Vinceb. To the best of my knowledge, Gamo are still made in Spain (it also says so on my CFX). The English connection could stem from the fact that Gamo of Spain bought out BSA in England. Gamo is now distributed in Britain by BSA. There are some who say the CFX is a copy of the BSA Airsporter,but I could not comment on this.
As an aside, I was lucky to find a .177 CFX over here. Gamo/BSA have dropped the .177 from their UK catalogue and only supply the .22 . This is despite the fact that .177 is becoming more and more popular for hunting at 12fpe, due to the flat trajectory. Strange that you guys are having .177 rammed down your throats and .22 is not available.
