It sure gets confusing don't it. Compasecco chinese are called TF, Xesico calls her XS B, Beeman chinese RS and they all come from Shanghai Airgun Factory which are the AR's. Price mark-up comes in when retailer slap their 2 letters on.

Forgive my ignorance, but RS2 is a trigger not a rifle. There is very little simmilarity in Beeman RS2 ( which btw, has several models)and Contender. Then difference in these 2 guns is NOT just 100 bucks and  lack of checkering.
It would be like calling 2brand new Corvettes with a 20 grand price diferrence the same vehicle.  Contender is not RS2. Not by price, looks or performance. Period.

They really are the same basic gun.  RS2 is just a Beeman series designator for some of their rifles based on the AR-1000.  There are some detail differences such as the shaping of the stocks, checkering, type of scope stop (Beeman uses a metal plate attached to the receiver with a screw, the TF89/Titan/Force 1000 use a clamp-on stop), and other things which can be specified by the company buying the guns for resale.

Those price differences are due more to each reselling distributor's markup based on their intended market  (Beeman sells theirs through chain stores and some airgun specialty stores while Compasseco sells TF89s on their own site and those of only a few other specialty airgun sellers) than any inherent quality differences between the guns.

TF89.  I love that rifle.  A bit heavy, but it needs to be.  The wood stock and checkering are great.  The chinese need to be more careful of packaging and handling practices; mine arrived with a gouge in the front sight cocking extension, and not a ding on the box it was shipped in.

Some have had issues with a slightly undersized chamber seal, but all-in-all, it is my favorite magnum.  Wouldn't part with it.

I have a Beeman SS1000T scope combo in .177, and I do think it is a good rifle. I haven't shot it much lately (too many others) but it was very good on ground squirrels. It was powerful, accurate, and had a decent trigger. I never had a quality issue with mine.
