OK, I'm finally ready to buy! And would have tonight if there had not been a thunderstorm at rush hour.

My decision is for a sub-compact 9mm pistol, and for the Kel-Tec PF-9. This is a single stack pistol with a short barrel and a small frame.
Remember, I have a Glock 19. The concept for me is a concealable pistol for a commonly available round with decent power.

Tommy tells me to get the Ruger LCP, but .380 ammo is still hard to find and expensive. I have a decent supply of 9mm and can buy more at Walmart inexpensively.

Anyone ever shot this pistol? I see a lot of differing opinions, it seems that the later production guns are OK, but I kinda figure it will never be a pleasure shooting range gun.

My carry pistols are Sig 239 (9), PPKs (380) and LCP (380). All have been flawless. I would highly recommend the Sig. The .380's are only carried when I am in dress clothes that makes the Sig hard to conceal.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. The Kahr CW-9 looks like a good option at about $400, and I will look at one. The Kel-Tec PF-9 (Parkerized) is only $300. That's my leading contender, and there is a local dealer with one on hand. Seems that all these pocketable guns are still in short supply. I will report later.

Got the PF-9 this afternoon. $299 with Parkerized slide. This one local shop (in Mesquite) was the only place I could find with one in stock. A dealer near my work had a used blued one for $349.
Did try to look at the Kahr CW-9, but they are difficult to find, even online. Looks like a good choice. This new one is likely to be kept in my vehicle. Thanks for all the advice. I'll post back when I take it to the range....
