Hi Dave,
my gun came today, BUT since it's a Christmas present from my wife I can't open it until christmas :(  These sound like they can be tuned up well.  I guess the seal in your gun didn't get cut or nicked when they installed it at the factory.  How's the trigger feel now that you've polished the sear?
     thanks, Scott
Regards, Scott

Scott,
It's dark when I get home from work (thanks to DST) so I've only fired it once since the rework. I will admit I'm quite impressed with the plastic trigger. It does have a fine adjustment for travel but I haven't touched that. I'm very anxious to put a few rounds through it this weekend and chrony it again. Ican't get over just HOW much smoother and easier it is to cock. All I can tell right now is pulling the trigger to decock it and it feels really smooth and positive. The piston has released properly every time so far. I've cycled it about 20-30 times.
I just got my order of CP Ultra Magnums in today. I will see what these do as far as accuracy and fpe output. They may replace my Gamo Rockets as preferred hunting ammo. I'll let you know how the shooting goes this weekend. But I'm very excited about my purchase and how well it tuned out. I made a post in Mod & Tune section about my process. There's some good info there so be sure to check it out if/when you tear yours down for maintenance. Sorry you have to wait another almost 6 weeks to unwrap your new playmate.
Happy Shooting!!!!

Onemore report. I had some time to chrony and accuracy check it today. After some co-members suggestions, I ordered some CP Ultra Mags (10.5gr) from PA. I was told it would slow the gun down but make it more accuate and hit harder. The suggestion was actually for my Benji SS but these two are very close in numbers, so I thought I'd try the heavier ammo in it also. Simply put, THANKS GUYS for the suggestion. The Walther and Benjiare about to reek havoc with the local tree rat population!!!! :)

After testing though, I may stick with CPHP with this gun since the power output is over 19 fpe with the 9.6gr rounds in the 950 fps range. (My error....CPHP is only 7.9gr which makes it more like 15.84 fpe) Dooohhhh....
Here's a 5 shot string with the CP Ultra Mags and the calculated fpe. Oh, and never had a single piston misfire and shoots SWEET!!!!
825.48 = 15.89 fpe
821.49 = 15.75 fpe
813.72 = 15.44 fpe
828.56 = 16.01 fpe
825.20 = 15.88 fpe

I wouldn't mind seeing a little more power out and will swap spring and seals to see what it does. But, I'm happy with the purchase and the gun is very much fun to shoot. It ismost probable that this gun justwants CPHP food. (Looking at my calculation error, the Ultra Mags are about the same in power but are more accurate....)
Happy Shooting!!!!
Dave
