Hi all ,i have taken the Benjamin hand pump partialy apart and so far replaced the small o-ring thats on a spring loaded valve at the bottom of the pump.
The pump is still not working right, there isnt a lot of resistance on the downstroke and takes forever to fill a Disco.
I suspect theres a worn out o-ring in there,i got the specs on all the o-rings and its not a problem finding the right replacements.
I want to be able to rebuild my own pumps ( own 2 discos ) since theres not much to do other than o-ring replacement but for the life of me
i cant figure out how to completely dissasemble the damn thing.
Ive taken the base off, the handle and the outer tube but dont know how to take the two brass ''ends'' off the inner tube.
I got the schematic and it doesnt look like they are screwed on ,maybe a press fit? Dont want to use much force to try and pull em off,
besides it would be hard not to scratch or dent that tube they are on.
Anyone here thats has dissasembed the hand pump able to give me a walk through on the take down,i would greatly appreciate and it
might help someone else as well.
Looking forward to any help i can get thanks guys, Jim.
