Pushed the Button on the New Benjamin Katana .22
« on: November 11, 2009, 10:58:23 AM »

Two reasons I pushed the button..:) 1st.. I found out today that it has a chocked barrel. 2nd.. I find the stock to be more to my liking as far as fit. I plan on throwing out the ugly trigger guard and putting something a bit more attractive in it's place..:)

I may be selling theone Disco's that I now have. One has a custom power adjustment along with a CDT trigger mod.

Now for the wait..:(

Yes he did Jeff and he was very impressed with it. Very nice to shoulder and shoot. Also he was impressed at how light wt. it was with the new stock. He has one so I think he may eventually put up avideo and report on it's accuracy and stock asthetics.

I am axious as heck to get my meat hooks around the stock..:)

You're killing me Gene  :)    I had absolutely no interest in this rifle and now you have me on the brink of hitting the order button  :)

But I'm gonna be good and wait until you get yours and read your review....

I know what you mean Jeff..:) I had just bought two like new used Disco's and have already gotten into moding one of them. I love the gun but the stock just does not fit as well as I would like. As far as accuracy goes the first Disco I got is a tack driver. Hard to imagine it getting any better..:)

But when Paul informed me of the choked barrel and how different the new stock was I thought about it all day while I was working in the shop and when I come in this afternoon. I took a nap and then got up and went in and pushed the button..:)

I will be selling my Disco and a couple other guns here soon..:)

Like you, I love my disco but I have the same complaint about the stock...... it's just to small for me.  I wish I could just get the new Katana stock but that's not an option.  As for the choked barrel,, I really missed that when I first looked at the Katana specs.  I'm really looking forward to your review,,,  I have a feeling I may be hittin that button soon  :)  ,, Christmas is coming,, I could always ask my wife for a new Katana as my present  :)

Sorry but I made a big mistake in this thread. It was a .22 Kantana and not a .177 that I pushed the button on.  Hope I did not get any body's hopes up for a .177.. Whoooops!!

Aw ,,  you just busted my bubble Gene..... here I was all psyched and set to get myself a .177 Katana and now you tell me it's not a .177 but a .22   :(    Oh Man,,,, what am I gonna do now  ???

Only kidding of course  :)   LOL

If I got one it would wind up being in .22 anyway since I already have the .177 tack driving Disco.......   then again it appears it only comes in .22 so it's an easy choice  :)
