little update. the b12 is 2 tins of pellets old, and is holding up quite well. it is smoother on the trigger but still to creepy and heavy to be good. It shot CPheavies at high 400s fps... hilarious. You shoot, and then about a second or two later, the pellet impact is heard louder than the rifle. Plus thru the scope you can see it clearly fly towards the target. it also groups the gamo pro matches quite well. it has only had 2 opportunities to show it's hunting prowess, and the first starling lived to tell the tale at 17 yards... still dont know how as it makes a little ragged hole at 15 yards.... But then a shot at 23 yards netted a D.O.A starling with a body shot to the neck. For birds, it is perfect. It is that little gun that a non A.G fan can buy to keep it's yard pest free. It's cheap, easy to use and neighborhood friendly. But it does not look or feel cheap. I hope the iron sights were of beter quality... i would even pay more to have a set of metal iron sights on it. If you have bird houses and want to control the starling pest, this is the only rifle you need. I think my grandma could shoulder the b12 and accurately dispatch a bird with it. Now squirrels, i haven't had the chance.yet.

I was going too get the B12 also,  But it didnot get a good review form the xisico web site I read?
so I went with the B3-1 ! (?) Do they use the same power plant?
Is the B3-1 more accurate?
I liked the look of the B12 .

Not the same powerplant. I do think that the b12 is better in initial quality than the b3 and all its derivatives. and i think the b12 will be more accurate due to the fact that it is smoother and its recoil will affect the shot less. my .02.
PS but i love the b3,go to the kermit airgun club site and look at what you can do with them...lol

not sure... my 97 is a lovely sporter, so maybe is the fact that they are being reviewed by just buyers, and not AG fans that will take the time to set up the rifles the way they are supposed to to maximize enjoyment...

I got a new B-12 about three days ago and after 300 pellets its still smokes some but I think this little airgun has potential. If you can get past that monster trigger pull it can produce some pretty good groups at 15 yards. I tried the half pull trigger thing but have found just pulling all the way through at one time works better for me. I mounted a little Tasco 3-9X40 non AO scope on it and have tried many different pellets and different holds. Beeman FTS group well but of all things the cheepy Gamo Dome Hunters group the best. With the heavy trigger pull it seems a firm grip on the entire gun works best and I have been able to get one ragged holers to Dime sized groups at 15 yards. The gun really looks pretty nice and I was surprised, a nice finish for such a creap airgun. I have a Tasco Golden Antler 3-9X32 AO scoped ordered for it so it will be a $40 scope on a $65 gun. I guess that makes sense, an inexpensive scope on an inexpensive gun and cheep Gamo pellets. I going to have a blast with this thing in the basement range this winter. It's a challenge to shoot the inexpensive ones well.

All I did was clean the bore with goo-gone and run dry patches through it until clean. I built a spring compressor and took the stock off but chickened out when it came to taking the gun apart. I know nothing about tuning but I'm going to get up enough nerve to take it apart someday. It looked like it had a lot of grease in and around the spring and I couldn't get a good look at the trigger because it's all up in the action area. The plastic safty that sticks out of the back of the action is what scares me when it comes to using the spring compressor to take it apart. I would hate to break it.

The stock screws on a Big Cat are Torx.  Don't use a Phillips head screwdriver.

Update: I finally was able to prove the ability of the B12 as a pesting tool. using the Super Hpoint and with a rifle zeroed at 16 yards i was able to take a squirrel at 20 yards with a neck shot. It hit, the tree rat jumps as if startled and runs 2 feet to a tree, climbs up 3 feet and just falls back, dead. Clean neck shot, no exit wound. As a garden pest tool, the only rifle i can compare it to is the R7. By the way, i was able to get a R7 and i can tell you for sure that the B12 shoots harder than the 7. the super hpoints avg 622 fps out of the R7, but gosh she has a nice trigger. But the b12 is an inexpensive alternative that will not dissapoint. it is that little rifle every one should have because it is so easy to shoot. I hope that this helps anyone considering this little gem from the east.

:) HEY GUY'S & ALL YOU THINKING ABOUT THE LITTLE PEST OR TARGET CONTROL AG.
i'M NOT GOOD AT WORDS, SO I'LL JUST SAY WHEN I GOT MY LITTLE GEM FROM MM, IT'S NOT THAT LITTLE! PUT SIDE BY SIDE THE TF97 SAME IN OVER LENGHT ,JUST THE PULL IS ABOUT 1" SHORTER.
IT'S BEEN RAINING ALL DAY :( SO I ONLY GOT TO SHOOT HER A FEW TIMES,& WOW IS MY WORDS!

THIS  AIR GUN (B-12) IS AT THE TOP!.A AIRGUN I WILL GO FOR NOW.& FOR ALL DAY SHOOTING IT'S-
A PLEASURE TO COCK &SHOOT ANYTHING, & AT 15YRDS I HIT A MED'S BOTTLE OVER&OVER,
& A COKE CAN WITH WATER IN IT BLASTED APART! IT SHOOT HARD FOR A MED RANGE AG./LIKE THE QUEST1000 THAT MAY ONLY BE 800'S FPS??. &THE B12 JUST  OUT OF THE BOX ! (BUT WILL ADD MIKE DID PUT HIS HANDS ON IT!!) WAXED & CLEANED.
BUT NOT A TUNE! I COULD NOT SWING THAT , & ON SUCH A AFORDABLE AG & VERY GOOD WOOD,
EVEN FOR A SOUTHPAW THE STOCK IS FINE, & I CAN SEE THE QC HAS GOTTEN BETTER !

& THE TRIGGER ON MINE IS NOT SO BAD?& WILL GET BETTER,. IT IS BETTER THEN MY B3-AK47.
NOW THAT'S A LOOONG PULL!.
THIS EVENING I PUT SOME WASHERS UNDER THE REAR SIGHT TO GIVE HER MORE UP AJUSTMENT.
& SHOT 5 SHOTS ABOUT 1/2" GROUP AT 20TF , & THAT'S GOOD FOR ME..   :)  I SMILE EVERYTIME I PICK IT UP ! FOR WHAT I DO WITH A AG -THIS IS THE BEST FOR ME .
THANK YOU MM.

UP DATE : STOPPED RAINING ! YEA, & ME & KATY WENT A SHOOTING SHE DID GOOD /BUT WITH MY BAD EYES i HAD TO SCOPE HER JUST A 4X32 & TOOK OFF THE SIGHTS YOU COULD SEE THEM IN THE SCOPE.
& THE SHOOTING GOT BETTER AT 15YRDS , & AT 20YRDS
NICKLE GROUPS, FOR ME THAT'S GOOD, SHE IS LIGHT WEIGHT
SO THAT'S A FACTOR TO? BUT NEXT IS THE PHONE BOOK TEST!
#1 GAMO BIG CAT 2 3/4" INTO THE PH BOOK.CPHUNTERS
#2 QUEST 1000 SHOT 2" IN WITH CPHUNTERS.
#3 B3-AK47 ABOUT 1 1/4 IN WITH CPHUNTERS.
#3 B3-AK47 HOME TUNE CLOSE TO 2"IN.
#4 TF97-22 SUPER TUNE BY STEVE? IN ABOUT 1" W/COPPERHEAD WADCUTTERS & DAISY WADCUTTERS 1"
MORE TO GOT TO GET NEW PHONE BOOK :D
THIS ONE HAS SOME BAD PAGES.

HAD A GOOD DAY FOR SOME SHOOTIN WITH THE SCOPE ON !
BUT A GOOD ONE FOR ACCURACY AT15TF TARGET, IT WAS HITTING ALL OVER THE PLACE?
WITH 4 BRANDS OF PELLETS, ! SHOT NOW ABOUT 50 TIMES ,
SO DOES IT NEED MORE BREAK IN TO GET ACCURATE? OR IS IT ME DOING SOMTHING WRONG?
ANYWAY I'M TAKEING THE SCPOE OFF & SEE IF THAT IS 1 OF THE RPOBLEMS,
WITH THE OPEN SIGHTS THE B12 SHOOTS VERY LOW ,& RAN OUT OF AJUSTMENT ,SO I HAD TO PUT WASHERS ON THE TOP & THAT GOT IT UP SOME ,,BUT STILL ABOUT 2-3" LOW..

ANY INPUT HERE ?  WOULD A TUNE UP HELP IT?
ANYONE DONE A RECROWN,
I DID THE QTIP TEST & THE BARREL HAS A LITTLE TIGHTNESS RIGHT AT THE END ,
LIKE A CHOKE SORT OF,
ANYWAY HOPE TO SHOOT SOME WITH THE OPEN SIGHTS ON?

Rontier... at 15 ft the b12 should put an entire tin of pellets thru a 4.5mm hole... something is amiss (no pun intended). try with a light hold, then a tight one. also try with open sights only, and even if it hits low, still shoot aiming at the same spot. If you can make a nice tight group (even if its low) then there is nothing wrong with the B12, and it might be the scope or worse, the shooter. even at 5 yards (15 ft) you should be able to get a rageed hole with open sights. let us know how it did... Like i said, mine is miracoulously accurate and if it had a better trigger it would spank my R7...
