I was out there camping last week and saw a large amount of yote and rabbit activity.  I saw one rabbit but he was to quick for a safe shot. There were a ton of squirrels out there but spooked really easy. I had to go for 70 to 100 yard shots with the .22 rimfire. All in all we had a great time.

Wind would be big factor...need to monitor that....but not likely though,as there is another low pressure system coming in Monday...with rain thru Wed...and snow in mountains....

It is 38 F in Boulevard right now...(9 AM PST)....high for Thursday forecasted at 54 F and sunny in Boulevard/McCain Valley...

I'm thinking powder burners with it being cold out my CO2 guns won't be to effective.

I'm torn between bringing my .22 mag or cranking the marauder up to 30 ft-lbs.
On one hand the 22 mag shoots flat. It's sighted for 50, but drops only 2" at 100 if I remember.  But I haven't shot it in 4 years and can't verify the zero.
I can tune the marauder all I want at home, but not sure about 70+ yard shots in wind.  And if I crank it, I gotta find some kodiaks.

Think I may take my Dominator HPA .22 and my Stevens/Springfield .22 rimfire....I've hunted squirrels out there before(last year) All required long shots beyond 70 yards..most were closer to 100 yards...

With the brush,etc..you must ambush the Jack rabbits if using air rifles.....otherwise only a shotgun works on Jacks if you walk around...
