Come on up just print the waiver. The Camp charges a 12 day fee. but to shoot and not be bothered to me it's worth it.

Hey guys..quick update.  I called the conference center today.  It's fine if we still go and I said barring an actual downpour I'll still head out there tomorrow morning.  Just plan on it being muddy and/or messy and plan accordingly.  Conditions might be a bit rough but we'll have a go of it.  Worst case we'll shoot a bit, scout the area and plan for the future.

Also, I had brought up the issue of pellet/lead waste when I first planned this with the camp.  They were not concerned but just today on the phone the lady I spoke with asked about traps or boxes to collect pellet debris.  I told her it's something we could work on but that I had not built anything of that nature yet.  So I think it's something we should all talk about going forward - enclosures for targets to help at least make an attempt at pellet debris collection.  It does make things more inconvenient but I think it would help us continue to be able to shoot there.  So don't worry too much about it this time but let's keep it on the radar.  Better to stay ahead of the rules/laws than try to catch up later I suppose.

So.... as of right now, 1:40pm PST on Saturday we are still on for tomorrow.  If you like, check in with me tomorrow on my cell phone before you drive.  That way if it's still pouring we can cancel in advance.  PM me if you would like my cell number.  I will post to GTA tomorrow around 7am too with the final go ahead so check if you can before heading out.

Yep, $12 and the waiver is all that's required.  Please make sure at least for now to bring cash - in the future perhaps we can pay by alternate means.  Waiver is posted earlier in the thread or you can fill one out when you arrive.  But no shooting without it.  Also, pellet rifles only, no powder burners of any kind are allowed.

Look forward to meeting you!

Thanks guys Im looking forward to it, its a long drive but I think I will be able to make it. Should I bring anything other than rifles/pellets? I have one of those steel traps and a "quiet" trap...but very few targets, I can bring them though if need be.

I would bring a paper target holder if you plan on sighting or shooting groups.
We have plenty of reactive targets and paper.
Casey, can we park next to the shooting line or will I need a bin to cart everything in?

It's a short walk downhill - the shooting area/paintball field is in a ravine or riverbed of sorts.  So a bin might be a good idea.  Expect it to be mucky guys - not for the faint of heart tomorrow!  I will have an advantage because my Vulcan's trigger already feels like it has sand and mud in it - LOL.

Just bring what you can - the traps might be nice until we can figure out how concerned they really are with the stray lead.  I don't think it will be an issue but you never know.  Hasn't rained in the last hour or two - I hope it stays away for the rest of the night!

They said it's D********ed far upstream so it's normally dry but yeah, since it's a low area it could be ugly.  I'm going regardless but I could end up at the Bread Basket in Alpine by 10:30 - LOL
