Someone had called on these a short while ago. They were told these were pretty scratched up. Might want to check before committing. And they say you can ask Umarex to hand select sometimes.

I bought one about a month ago - not sure it had ever been fired!  (maybe dry-fired??  No way to tell)  Looked beautiful to me.  Shoots fine.

Just passing along what someone said they told him on the phone about remaining stock. Sometimes it depends on who you are talking to. How do you like the 600?

I understood; I just wanted to pass on an alternate experience is all - sounds like it's luck of the draw if you don't have an "insider".

I like it.  I hate the look of the front sight, which is shared by most or all Mendozas.  I will probably remove it and the rear sight altogether once I get it scoped.

The wood is quite nice.  The stock shape is a little goofy in my opinion, so I'll probably fix that too at some point soon.  Bluing is nice.  I have not been inside the gun.  The compression tube is LONG on this gun and so the proportions are a little odd.

(Gee, sounds like I have a lot of complaints.  To be frank, it's a nice looking gun but can be improved.)  Haven't shot it a great deal yet but it is accurate and relatively smooth so far.  For $69 (I bought it when a free shipping deal was going on), I think it's a great buy, as quirky as it is.

Go read the Umarex stock thread on the Yellow from yesterday about the Walther stocks. Seems they are cracking at the stock screws on some of the early guns. I would ask about this before buying.
