One of the local predator hunters is taking me in the morning to shoot some nuisance Coyotes that are chasing cattle. I'm so excited to finally get to go!
Thanks to Furseeker I've now got my own "El Cheapo" Electronic Predator Call! It works great, but I'll have to compare it to a professional one tomorrow.
I'm taking my camera stuff so I can film another edition of the Suburban Outdoorsman. We are going down near where I was raised in Farragut. I moved there in 1964 with my mom and dad and they still live there. It used to be one of the best squirrel hunting areas around, but now it is all subdivisions and stores

I never knew or suspected there were coyotes there. This is a good opportunity for me with my Suburban Outdoorsman idea.
One of the guys from Predator Pursuit (Cal) emailed me back with some camera information about the equipment they use for their show. The downside is it is a HD camera and they cost over $3000!! Since my videos are only going to be on You Tube for now, it doesn't really matter the equipment I'm going to use. I have a Sony camera with a 99X zoom on it, and a little cheapo HD hand camera that has only a 3 x zoom.
I'll have my still camera as well and my NEW powder burner with me

I'll send a coyote some .223 55 grain lovin!
Yesterday I setup my turkey blind for the first day on Saturday! I don't own a real turkey gun, but I have my old 20 gauge with some #4 high brass which I think will do the job. I'm covered in stickers! When I went there yesterday there were three males in the field. I didn't see any females though, but they aren't what I'm after anyway. I'll have the tripod and a camera for turkey too. It is just outside the city limits of Knoxville in the suburbs so I could get two episodes in the same weekend!
My blind is under a big sycamore tree with good cover for me. There is a big creek nearby and I've seen birds there a lot. Now to try and figure out how to use this call. I'm a pure amateur at hunting everything but squirrels and doves. All I've learned I've learned from the internet, outdoor tv shows, and from folks that have offered to help. What I'm hoping to do is to pass the knowledge down to my son so he can enjoy it over his lifetime.
