hey ya'll, of all the shooting forums im a member of............... this is where i feel most at home. first off, i like old stuff.be it cars, guns, stereo, etc,.....older gear has more character, is generally simpler and it just has a feel that new products dont.
with that said,...., im posing a hypothetical build question for you......
ive been toying with building a lo-buck coyote rifle. as a basis the mosin nagants in 7.62x54 are readily available, have a decent aftermarket following and trigger groups from timney now available. shots would typically be 150 yards or less.
ballistics are decent, with ammo costs at about $150 per 440 rounds.
did a small ring mauser 98 last year, rechambered in .308 using a lathed dowm remington 700pss barrel and this year, i want to try something new.
whatre ya'lls thoughts and input ?
thanks in advance ,..jim
