How to remove the front sight on a CFX?
« on: May 11, 2007, 01:11:46 AM »
Does anyone know how to properly remove the front sight on a Gamo CFX?  I'm mounting a big scope and would like to get the iron sights off there.  It looks like the rear one just has a screw holding it on but I'm not sure about the front.  I'd like to leave the muzzle break on.  Thanks for any help.

First off welcome to the forum. The top section will slide out to the side, it is held in with a dovetail, not sure if the rest will come out.HTH

There is a tiny pin on the under side, Just push it out left to right and the whole thing comes apart (after first backing out the
grub screw on top a bit.) The inner sleeve may have to be tapped off the end of the barrel, (used a block of wood) but it's not a tight fit usually.
