Hi there,
thanks, it`s always great to be welcome, and it sure feels like being welcome over here.
I was wondering bout something. Over here in the Netherlands there`s an organisation called the NLSO, the Dutch Airgunshootersorganisation. Those guys are trying to organize shoots throughout the country. It`s pretty hard to get regocnized as an airgunshooter, nobody seems to know that a decend PCP doesn`t care to much about 100 yards. There have been a few shoots in several gunclubs, but, there`s nothing much more fun than shooting outdoors. And over here, it`s virtually impossible. The environment spoils the fun for the airgunshooter. It`s forbidden to spill lead on the surface. And it`s pretty hard not to do that when shooting. It`s a crime to polute, and sanctions are pretty tough.
How`s the law over in the US? Are the rules and regulations as hard as they`re over here?
Next question is this. The US is a pretty large market for airguns i suppose. Is in the US a pellet available that`s got a substitute for lead? Searching the net hasn`t given me anything so far. I hope one of you guys knows anything.
But, the Netherlands are not just misery. Over here it`s airgun heaven. I think we`ve got the most liberal airgun laws of Europe. There`s no limit to energy, there`s no limit in caliber, the only reason for an airgun not to appear on the Dutch market is it`s resemblance to a fire-arm. When a gun has got the looks af an actual fire-arm, there`s no way it`s being sold over here. That law is really weird, there`s no real objective way to tell when it looks like the real mccoy.
Well, that`s it for now.
Take care, Roel
