How do I get my spring out?

Im struggling with getting the lock pin out.  It was easy with my daisy 1000, I just pushed back a bit with the compressor then it easily tapped out, but with the shadow just plain pushing back doesn't let me tap the lock pin out.  I am using a bread bag tie thing to hold the sear down.  How do I get the lock pin out!?  Thanks
