The QB78s are easy to get addicted to. I'm amazed at what you get for the money.  I used some Kit brand Scratch Fix paint/plastic polish to polish the stock on my TH78GS(QB78Deluxe), and now it looks better than my HW80(not kidding). It's gorgeous and shiny. It almost looks too god to shoot. All for $80.00+shipping.

Oops, sorry for that, I just got 2 standard 78's, for the kids. Never realized how much shorter the custom one is compared to the standard ones. Seems like it's easy to forget what the original one looked like!

The stock was made by a friend of mine. He built the whole thing himself. Bought a piece of wood at the hardware shop and started working it. The barrel is shortened by almost half it's size. Even with the MuzzleBrake on, it is almost 15cm shorter than the original rifle.

The valve was customized by another friend of mine to provide more power and consistency. The MuzzleBrake is also custom made. Good thing I have these buddies, because my wood and metal work skills suck. I'm ok with tuning a springer, but leave the other jobs to them.

The bolt and trigger was polished and reworked. It is as good as any competition gun's trigger.

On HPA (70 bar) it used to run about 950 ft/s with heavy H&N Barracudas. Shot count was a bit low so it got tuned down to about 12 ft/lbs. Unfortunately shot count is ok for hunting but not for plinking, so it is back on a CO2 diet. it does about 750ft/s now with Crosman Accupals (using co2 cannisters). I'll crank up the power again and bulk fill it with CO2. Should push out about 14ft/lbs at over 100 shots per fill. Will test it sometime. I'm not really worried about specs, as long as the rifle performs well.

I agree with you, for the money there is nothing that compare, although I must admit I was really impressed with the AR1000 as well.
