Wal-Mart Deal :-)

Talked to Howie Today and he told me the dasiy Powerline 1000 dropped even further in price at one of our local Wal-Mart's. I loaded everyone up and headed down there. I got there looked all over finally found them on a clearance rack with other outdoor things. They had 5 left and all but one had been opened. I grabed it up and was heading to the register and a different price tag caught my eye. I looked and it was for the Seirra Pro. I really wanted the rough hammer but I couldn't pass up the Pro. The 1000 was marked down to 50 but the marked the Pro all the way down to 70.00. That is 19.00 less then I picked up my G1 Extreame clearance gun for. The Pro is a little rougher than the G1 is but I guess the it's the firing cycle and the fact that another 28.00 and I get a completly different trigger keeps drawing me to these guns. Neither one of my Crosman guns came with the traditional twang. So far so good only got about 6 or 7 shots through the Pro and the major detenation is gone. Just from point at 7 yards all the shots were under a dime so I think she is going to work out fine.    

Wow, I didn't even think about checking to see if they'd stuck the old 1000S and G1's on the clearance rack when I was at WM yesterday morning. Looks like I may have to drop by on my way home from work to see what's what.

I just came back from lunch, having stopped at Wal-Mart on the way.  There were no deals as good as the Sierra Pro fpr $70 but all of them were marked down to $109.  I'll be suprised if they go down much further here (Iowa) but that is still good.  It is $50 less than Pyramyd sells them for.

I think the "deals" come with the Walmart territory.  For instance:  We all know of the Centerpoint rifle scopes available at Walmart for ~$70.  I set out to find one in my area the other day.  I walked into a store located in an urban area to find these scopes were marked down to $25 with the cute lil red sticker.  WOO HOO... but they were sold out.  Needless to say, four stores later I finally bought what I'm sure was the last available Centerpoint scope in the B'ham area.  Of course I called every store within 30 miles of me in search of the $25 deal but only found the single $70 scope.  Shucks!!!

When I looked at the Pro it still had the 109 sticker on top. I saw the $70 price on the end and thought it was a different gun. Make sure and check the entire box over. Even the 1000 was priced on the end. The CP scopes are still 70 here as well.

My local Mart has the Centerpiont for $70 still and $89 the G1s are gone as is the $109 Sierra Pros. . I have a total of 7 Walmarts in my urban areas of MA yet no deals to be had!

After work this afternoon I decided to hit the 2 Walmarts in my area.  The first one had basically nothing on sale.  The second one had 3 Crosman G-1 Extremes on the discount rack for $89.  All 3 boxes looked like they had been opened and resealed, but the one box I looked in had the rifle and all  other parts neatly packed away as they should be.  I probably shoulda bought one but I put it back on the shelf and I'm gonna just keep checking periodically to see if the price comes down even further.  I already have a fine shooting G-1 in the gun safe so I don't mind waiting to see if the price comes down,,, but if after a week or so they are still $89 and still there I'll pick one up cause I certainly wouldn't mind having another one.

I freely admit I'm addicted,,, I just can't help it,,,, I've been good for quite a while now but I can feel myself "fallin off the wagon" again.  :)

There's just so many gun and so little time........

I went to two different Walmarts this weekend, but here in NJ, they don't even sell targets !

I did get a good buy on Lethal Weapon in DVD though !

I wish whoever runs the NJ stores had some Cajones...
