I recently tried CPL's in my 12 FPE Carbine and my Classic , I had been shooting JSB's with pretty good results . But at 30 yards one day last week while shooting sitting in the field target position , the CPL's out shot the JSB's by a little bit . Enough to make me switch .Every little bit helps . Well , today Jon and I were at the range shooting some field targets and I was doing pretty good for the first 5 or 6 lanes and then the wind picked up . I noticed I was missing more than usual and I was waiting for the wind to slack before shooting ; at least it looked that way to me. On about lane 8 on a target at 35 yards , I missed the target completely . My next shot was 1 1/2" to the right of the kill zone on the face plate . I couldn't believe the wind would blow my pellet off that far , especially when I was waiting for a slack period . I never has this happen with my JSB's . The next target was around 46+ yards and needless to say I zero that target twice also. I've got some experimenting to do , but I think I'll be going back to my JSB's for field target work. I know Jon had this problem last year while shooting Kodiaks in the wind . They would shoot great for him when it was a calm day , but when the wind picked up, they'd be all over the place on the longer shots. kirby
