Over the past few weekends, I've introduced one of my neighbors to the sport of air guns, and he enjoys plinking cans/spoons in my pellet trap. He even went to wally-world to check some out. I gave him my two-cents about what he saw there, and explainned the differences in what they had to offer, and what use he'd want it for. Well after discussing the trigger issues, he asked my what I'd take for my Gamo, Big-Cat. I told him that I had about $150 into it (stock untuned, BS stuffed with packing foam, and the GRT-III trigger) and I said I'd let it go for $130. A little more than what I payed for it off the shelf. My ultimate goal is to keep my arsenal to a minimum. A pair of .17's and a pair of .22's. (excuding my Benji's!!!). I know some folks out there want one of every type and brand gun known to man, and that's OK, but I'd rather have a few that I can shoot well and know intimatley it's behavior at different ranges and uses. But getting back to my neighbors interest, I think the BC with the mod trigger has drawn a new fan amongst our ranks, and this rifle will be a good entry for him in the sport. The BC is pretty darn accurate (decent groups at 20 yards being untuned), but after shooting my CDT tuned Sierra, I think he may have developed a future plan with this little black beauty!! tjk
