S400 gets wood
« on: September 01, 2008, 04:27:07 AM »
When I shot Steve Corcoran's S410 Classic last year I just knew I needed to have one.  Well I got kinda close, I got the Carbine version which is better suited for my suburban backyard.  Next "todo" was to put one of Steve's stocks on it, the rest is in the photos.

Stunning wood and nice gun. Sort of surprised there is a barrel band and not floating.

Lookin' good, pal, although I think it would look better with a longer barrel and air tube, you know, like on my S400E :-).  So have you actually shot it with the new stock yet, and if so, how's it feel?  Later.

Oh man, you're all set....you've a tactical looking gun and a classic gun. Both in PCP's. I believe you can get a clip for the AA400 that holds 10 pellets....but you need to rotate it manually...after you cock it. It'll become almost a repeater....

So now we're in serious hijack mode :-).  Actually, the Talon IS sold, that's what helped pay for the FX Cyclone that's on it's way.  So I won't be needing a clip for the 400 :-)!  And just to keep it at least a little bit related to Dan's original post, once he gets that pretty piece of wood all dialed in, I get the factory stock for my 400, part of our deal for the R7.  That way I'll still have a nice, classic wood stocked rifle and a synthetic stocked repeater for whacking starlings with.  Later.

I hope you guys are happy,,,,,,, all I've been doing for the past few days is endlessly search out Air Arms rifles on the internet comparing prices, shipping, reviews, etc....

My wife said I could buy myself a really nice retirement present when my retirement is finalized, which hopefully should be within the next 6 weeks,,,, and I'm convinced that present is gonna be of  dem rifles   :)
