I have received two b-30-1, in today. I am going to do a short review. First off the wood on these guns are great. The 177 is a lighter shade than the 22. There are no visible signs of filler anywhere on the stock. The bluing is top notch, not to shinny just right. The action is very robust, the cocking arm has a bear trap that works great, from experience it works, my hand slipped when cocking the 177 caliber. The sites are very good, can be used in dusk condition, and low light. The trigger has not been adjusted but it probably breaks around 5 lbs or higher.
The shooting of the guns are very easy. The recoil is very linear, with a small jolt. There is not to much forward recoil at all just coming back to you. More like shooting a power burner than an airgun. I haven’t had the chance to chrony both guns yet. The last 22 I sold did about 850-870 fps. with 14.3 benji diablo’s. I will get to chrony both this weekend, I know the new owner can’t wait until he gets my report on his 22.
The cocking action is very easy once you figured out how to do it. I would say the poundage is between 35 and 45 lbs. The easiest way I have figured out is to place the gun stock on you hip and grab the front of the stock with your left hand, slowly pull the cocking lever back with your right. That way the leverage is on your hip rather than the cocking arm.
The breech on both are very snug, not like the last one that was hard sometimes impossible to get a pellet in there without using something for leverage. This about all I can think of until I shoot both more over the weekend. Once I get a good chrony setting I will post them, hopefully the guns will perform as they suppose to.
