Sorry if it seems a bit stale. I confess that having taken on the responsibility of a new German Shepherd puppy last January, I find much of the free time I used to have is consumed paying some attention to Annie. She doesn't understand "no, not now -- I want to go in the back yard alone to shoot." So, I am spending a lot more time throwing the frisbee than shooting these days. And this is also the busiest time of the work year for me, too. I suspect that the economy has also damped some of the free-wheeling air gun purchasing that was going on a year or two ago as well. The enthusiasm is still there, I feel pretty sure -- just not the disposable income. So, as with many things, there are up and down cycles. I wouldn't make the judgment that the GTA is growing stale, though.
As for air rifles - well, there is a time and a season for every air rifle, I suspect. I have more than I need and more than I shoot regularly. If it were to come down to only having a few air rifles, I know the 5 that I absolutely could not part with: Walther LGR-U .177 10-meter SPP, AirArms S410 ERb .22 PCP, Theoben Crusader .20 cal gas ram, CZ-634 .177 springer and Beeman R9-Goldfinger .20 cal. springer. I would be hard pressed to part with several others, but those 5 -- a single pumper, a PCP, a gas ram, and two springers are the best of the best in my collection. But hey, I still have a few project air rifles that may join the elite collection -- you never know. And hey, I almost forgot the AirArms ProSport!
Well, off to work now.
