Heck, you just talked me into feeling like a PCP was a cop out and real men learn how to make springers work in real field conditions.  And now you up and buy one?  What brand/model?

I notice the UK guys seem to favor the Rapid.  Way too rich for me.

Hey, I never said it was a cop out to shoot PCP's . I said if you wanted to shoot accurately out of the box without having to put in the time it would take to learn to shoot  a springer accurately , then to get a PCP if you can live with the extra baggage of carrying around a tank and system to fill it with . I also said it wasn't as bad as some people make it out to be .  Springers if you can shoot them are a lot simpler to operate and are great in the field . It took me a while to learn to shoot  a springer , but I didn't do so until I dedicated myself to learning what worked for me. Now ; I  miss my AA carbine and since I have six other springers to play with , I think it's time for me to diversify .I also have a 13xx Crosman and three 22xx CO2's that run off carts , and two SSP pistols. LOL  I'm replacing my Air Arms S400C a 12fpe single shot .177 ; which is one of the rifles I suggested in the beginning of this thread  . That and the TalonSS , which I feel is a nice PCP , easy to operate , I enjoyed shooting mine , but I liked the  S400C wood stocked carbine  the most.  kirby EDIT: BTW , I've never been able to shoot the high powered springers , I prefer something below 12fpe . It makes a difference.

Hey Dave, when you get tired of the AA 400C let me know, I've had my eyes on one of those for quite awhile:)

Hehe, I have gone full circle myself.  All airguns have their place imho, I also tend to enjoy shooting the lower powered springers and PCP's.  It's all about enjoyment, and whatever you enjoy is what you should own.

You gets first dibs on the carbine , Dan .LOL I hope to keep this one a little longer though. I  tend to like all my airguns to be 12fpe and under. IMO , that's what an airgun was intended to be . It just so happens the springers in the 6-12fpe shoot the best for me and are therefore more fun to shoot. It's always more fun when you hit what you're aiming at. If I need more power than that , I'll get out my rimfire. kirby
